Strep-Tactin® TACS Agarose
50% suspension for isolation of cells and exosomes via affinity chromatography
Strep-Tactin® TACS Agarose is suitable for cell selection or depletion via affinity chromatography. The resin consists of agarose macrobeads coated with the streptavidin variant Strep-Tactin®. A special crosslinking permits the optimal use for cell-related approaches.
Strep-Tactin® TACS Agarose can be loaded with a protein of choice that is fused to a Twin-Strep-tag®. This can be for example an antibody or an antigen, which captures the cells inside the columns. Biotin addition causes the dissociation of strep-tagged proteins from Strep-Tactin®, leading to the elution of cells.
Alternatively, it is possible to load the resin with Twin-Strep-tagged, desthiobiotinylated or biotinylated proteins (irreversible binding) for negative cell selection or depletion.
The suspension can be used for packing of gravity flow columns since the resin is optimized for column affinity chromatography. To pack a column with 1 ml resin bed volume, 2 ml 50% suspension are necessary.
